The IAV-BS1 represents a significant milestone for Illini Autonomous Vehicles, marking our first venture into autonomous aviation. Designed as a proof of concept, the IAV-BS1 was meticulously planned and developed over the course of a month, showcasing our team's dedication and expertise. This innovative UAV is capable of autonomously flying pre-set waypoints, guided by an onboard GPS and accelerometer system. The entire assembly was completed in just 24 man-hours, demonstrating not only the efficiency of our design process but also the commitment of our team. The IAV-BS1 has set the foundation for future advancements in autonomous flight technology within our organization.
